Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is an entry-level position focused on communicating with customers regarding their past due balances to improve timely payments and cash flow from customers with terms. In this role, you will be a critical accounting team member. You will be expected to work alongside cross-functional management teams and support for our products, services, and Quality System. This position requires approximately ten hours a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand areas of responsibility according to C2Dx Quality Management System
  • Communicate with customers via email and phone regarding past due balances in a professional and accurate manner
  • Provide customers with copies of invoices, proof of delivery, and other requested information to assist them with paying their invoices
  • Accept credit card data in accordance with company policies
  • Identify customer accounts at risk of becoming uncollectible
  • Update customer contacts when obtaining new contact names, phone numbers, and emails
  • Record notes on customer records regarding customer communications and status of payment
  • Assist with maintaining the customer database by keeping data current and accurate
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by recording customer complaints and feedback according to company policies
  • Perform other accounts receivable responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma, 0-3 years of relevant experience in similar roles preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write professional emails
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to learn new systems such as ERP and CRM systems 

Work Environment

  • This is an hourly position that may require working from home and providing adequate space to do

Job Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and provide proper documentation within 3 days of employment
  • Must successfully pass a background screening and drug screening

  • The position requires extended periods of time on the computer and on the phone
