Marketing Associate

Job Description 

The Marketing Associate will assist in the implementation and execution of the marketing and sales support program of an assigned product line or lines, while also supporting the positive image of the company among internal and external stakeholders. This position will assist in the marketing of products through exhibits, trade shows and educational lab execution. You are skilled at explaining detailed proposals, guidelines and procedures, and are eager to learn more about opportunities in the medical device industry.  

This position is based in Schoolcraft, MI with remote work flexibility and will report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Will provide sales support by answering and/or resolving customer questions and/or issues
  • May develop and/or initiate the development and production of marketing support material (e.g. product brochures, Apps, videos, etc.) 
  • Will assist in the marketing of our products through exhibits, trade shows and educational lab execution 
  • Will provide marketing or sales training to others as requested 
  • May provide input in the new product development process and collect Voice of the Customer (VOC) feedback on new product concepts 
  • Will work with sales representatives and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to existing products 
  • Will develop and execute strategies for communicating product-related updates to sales representatives 
  • Will support development of the marketing knowledge management system through the creation of new sales support tools and refinement of existing tools 
  • Will work closely with the operations team to understand production capacity, build schedules, and organize stocking schedules for assigned products 
  • Will coordinate with the distribution team and sales representatives to effectively allocate products to customers in times of short supply 
  • Will work with the customer care team to understand complaint handling, quality, and service processes, and will communicate these processes to sales representatives as needed 
  • May support key product trials, presentations or installations as directed by the manager 
  • Will submit periodic reports on assigned topics 
  • Will analyze and resolve non-routine product issues using independent judgment  
  • May routinely make decisions that affect immediate and divisional marketing operations 

Qualifications and Skills Required 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 0-2 years in a marketing, sales or related position 
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills 
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills 
  • Fundamental computer skills (Microsoft Office) 
  • Field sales training with key sales representatives 
  • Extensive booth work at medical specialty conventions
